Diwali, Indian festival

Committes of Gujarati Association of Victoria

Diwali committee Diwali in India is celebrated with jubilation and enthusiasm. It is one of the biggest festival of Hindus and is celebrated for five continuous days. Third day is the main day of Diwali and is celebrated as the 'Festival of Lights'. To mark this day people light diyas and candles all around their house. During the evening Lakshmi Puja is performed to seek divine blessings of Goddess of Wealth. People also exchange Diwali Gifts with all their dear ones and burst fire crackers in the night to express their happiness.
Navratri committee Navratri is celebrated all across the world. Navratri is up this September and October and once again it is going to rock as usual ! Everyone in the community were waiting for it.
Cultural committee Indian culture is rich and diverse and as a result unique in its very own way. Our manners, way of communicating with one another, etc are one of the important components of our culture.
Social Welfare committee Social Welfare itself describes an aim to provide help and support to the community. We are here to take care of the welfare of our Gujarati community in Victoria.
GAV Management Committee The GAV Management Committee consists of the following: Executive Committee, FIAV Delegates, Sub Committees.
